Alphington AFC is a FA chartered football club. We run 9 Youth teams ( from ages U8 to U16).

The Charter Standard Scheme is best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all. Click on the image below for more info from the FA.

If we have more than one home game at the above venue parking in the car park over the bridge can be difficult.You may find it easier to park in Marsh Barton and walk over to the pitches ( 5 minute wallk).

Pinhoe Tournament 2010 - Alphington Lions run out winners 27/06/2010 The Alphington Lions were the eventual winners of the Pinhoe 2010 summer tournament, On a boiling hot day the Lions managed 10 goals in the group stages with Elliot Thomas conceding only three, James Dodd, Alex Owens and Tom prout sharing the goals between them,, In the semis we played a great Sidmouth side who took an early lead through an unfortunate own goal, We soon replied with yet another James Dodd goal and it looked certain that we were heading to extra time and the dreaded penalties,with good work from Harry Wellaway, Ben Shear and Ethan Matthews, the ball broke free to James who took on two Sidmouth players on the left wing and crossed a peach of a ball through to Ruan Ellis who was waiting on the back post to slot the ball home to score the winner. The final was against the hosts Pinhoe who had reached the semis with a closely fought penalty shoot out versus West Exe, this was a close game with Alphingtons Jake Thomas coming close in the first half who smashed the ball against the upright, again extra time loomed until with only seconds left Lions hot shot James Dodd went on a solo run on the left wing, beat numerous players and calmly kept his nerve and drilled the ball into the back of the net to gain Alphington Lions their first (hopefully not last) trophy. Jake Faulkner and Callum Lewis played their part in what turned out to be a great day. Thanks to Pinhoe and Martin for their hard efforts.
