Latest Match Report for the Under 9s
Alphington Jets under 9's had their first win at the weekend,saving manager Bunny tfrom being the first managerial casualty of the season.After an opening day of 2 losses (10-0 and 2-0) against 2 very good Crediton sides,the Jets,under the captaincy of Sam Webber, showed great spirit against Exwick.
After an even first half,the Jets outplayed a strong Exwick side,with a good team performance.Sam Webber scored the only goal of the game,but praise must also go to the other players,Ben Vanstone,Ben Clancy Mitchell,Ben Rooke,Jack Bunclark,Cameron Kelly,Tony Hutchins and Massimo Vece.
This result has put us in good spirits for our next game away at Tiverton on the 6th October,where our two new signings, George Rae and Cameron Hargreaves will bolster the squad.Both George and Cameron play for City u9's and it is thanks to our chief scout Ian Rae for this.
