ALPHINGTON  JETS 3  HEAVITREE BUZZARDS  1

Alphington started the game brightly and hit the post within 1 minute. The buzzards keeper pulled off some fantastic saves denying,Sam Webber,George Rae,Jack Bunclark and the excellent Cam Hargreaves. The Buzzards opened the scoring with a well taken goal, that Ben Vanstone could not ge to, after a quick break from defence. At half time the introduction of Cameron Kelly and Tony Hutchins helped Alphington to equalise with a well taken George Rae special.Cam hargreaves got his deserved goal when the keeper could only parry Sam Webber's piledriver, tapping in at the far post.Sam scored the third after some good work from the outstanding Ben Rooke, who brought the ball out of defence and putting Sam through.Ben Clancy Mitchell was solid at the back alongside Ben Rooke.

ALPHINGTON  JETS 10  HEAVITREE KESTRELS  0

Cameron Kelly scored a superb volley to open the scoring for the Jets. This was quickly followed by Cam Hargreaves scoring two quick goals, the first being  a superb individual goal, beating 3 players before cooly slotting home.George Rae and Sam Webber both scored to make it 5-0 at half time.Ben Vanstone did well in goal when called upon.Jack Bunclark came on in the second half and got his hatrick, scoring 3 more goals, the second being a great team goal as Ben Rooke won the ball in defence and passed to George.George slipped the ball to Sam who beat 2 and set Jack up in front of goalBen Clancy Mitchell went close along with the speedy Tony Hutchins, but it was the impressive George Rae who scored 2 more to get his hatrick. Credit must go to the Kestrels who never gave up and still played with a smile on their faces, encapturing all the good qualities of youth football.
