Alphington AFC - Under 8s Managed by Rob Dodd Graham White

Match Report for Saturday 27th October.

Brixington Blues 4 v Alphington Rockets 4

On a very bumpy pitch both teams played some excellent football and the 4-4 draw was a fair result. The game was very evenly matched with both teams creating opportunities. The blues were one of the best sides the Rockets have played against this season. The game went from end to end and a display of clinical finishing saw Lucas White score all four goals for Alphington Rockets, the best goal of the four was after dribbling past two defenders to calmly slot the ball home.

Brixington United 0 v Alphington Rockets 1

A James Bovey goal was the only difference in this close game. Alphington changed four players for this match and were eventual winners. With the wind becoming stronger by the minute both teams struggled to create chances and at the break the scoreline was 0-0. Eventually the deadlock was broken when some excellent play from the Rockets allowing James Bovey to score the only goal of the game. Further chances to add to the Rockets score were limited and some very good goal keeping from Joe McKenzie ensured Alphington`s victory. Garreth Blackmore had a impressive display in midfield.
