Sainsburys Friendly League 1/4 Final Cup - 22nd March 2008

Brixington Blues 0 - 3 Alphington Rockets

Alphington progress to the semi- final of the cup with this hard fought win over a strong Brixington Side.

Defences were on top in the initial stages, Alphington Rockets had few chances until a five minute spell before half time when all three goals were scored. James Dodd's wicked corner curled into the wind, to find Luke White at the near post who managed to steer the ball into the net.

The second goal of the game came from a piece of brilliant finishing by Max Hammett, who dribbled around the Brixington defender, and slotted the ball into the net after some excellent football by the Rockets. Luke white scored his second of the game to make the score 3-0 at half time.

Alphington Rockets played with the wind in the second half and created several more chances but were unable to add to there first half tally.

Oliver Saunders and Jake Murphy were superb in defence and special mention has to go to The Rockets keeper James Bovey who made some great saves when the score was 0-0
