Westexe 2 - 12 Alphas - Saturday 13th September 2008

After the disappointment of last weeks postponement the Alphas got off to a flyer in their first game of the season. Local rivals Westexe battled hard throughout the game but were no match for the slick passing of the Alphas

The home side however stunned us by opening the scoring after just 10 minutes . We started slowly and paid the price for being complacent. A long throw led to a goalmouth scramble before the Westexe player tucked the ball past Stevo .As the game reached 20 mins the Alphas were struggling to create a clear chance despite dominating possession . MnM May and Hoppo were put on to try to spice things up and they had an immediate impact creating havoc down the right wing. A brilliant spell of football saw us score 4 times before halft time , a hat trick for Chip n Dale and one for Jaffa Cake Boots Hull.

A well deserved rollicking duly followed at half time and the lads responded well .Some of the passing was superb as we opened up Westexe time after time . Chip went on to score two more to take his tally to five , new signing Cory Toffee Toth bagged a hattrick , Hoppo , Bumble Bee Boots Miller and an own goal took our tally to twelve .

sadly we let one soft goal in ,. obviously Jens Steve had his hand in a bucket of butter for a few mins while watching the goals fly in at the other end

Final Score Westexe 2 Alphas 12

The boys know there are much sterner tests ahead but a good start. oh by the way ... Lets get rid of those silly coloured boots ....you know who you are

Man of the Match Chip n Dale O'Donohue
