Under 16s

Civils 1 Alphas 7

Another local derby and at last we make a fast start with Toffee  giving us the lead after just 5 minutes after great work from Chip. Civil just couldn't handle us in the first 20 minutes and two further goals from Chip gave us a 3-0 lead . The boys obviously though it was all over and relaxed so much they nearly fell asleep, well Mattie May did as he was up puking all night apparently ...must have been something he ate ....or drank.............. Civil to their credit came back into the game and a defensive blunder allowed them to pull one back. Half time 3-1 up

The second half saw an improved team display with Hoppo coming on on the right and had a real influence on the game . He made it 4-1 before Skipper Baxo an own goal and another from Hoppo completed the scoring. Many chances came and went in the second half and no doubt it was the pitch or the bobble or Jakes yellow boots dazzling in the sun that were to blame.

Overall a good performance but still some players need to focus on the game on  a Saturday morning and not how many lager shandies they can down the night before....

Remember i have my spies out there watching and listening................
