WOLVES 2 V 1 STOKE (Was this a Devon or Midland derby??)

Well today's game was not for the faint hearted ... which is always expected when you play Stoke Hill .... well organised 100%ers.

The game started with end to end action, and it must be said that both teams had put their boots on the wrong feet and had obviously been watching too much rugby!!

Door HANDLE started his fist game of the season up front and came closest to scoring in the first 20 mins. Stoke Hill decided to play the Wimbledon way, eventually our back 4 realised that when the ball goes over their heads they need to turn and run after the ball.... well done Thorpy Jnr for leading the way.

Eventually we broke the deadlock, Darby out pacing 21 other players to get the ball and riffled it into the bottom corner. (Another cash payout for Officer Dribble ... who wasn't at the game due to SHOPPING commitments!!!!)

After we scored we seemed to fall alsleep and allowed Stoke to get back into the game. But for some good solid keeping from Denis Law (Dan) we could have been behind. They did score to make it 1-1, which to be honest would have been a fair result ..... however there is nothing fair in football and it was our turn to take our advaqntage. Again Darby ran off down the line like "Forrest Gump" and there was no catching him .... the winning goal for all to enjoy.

Yet again we had some great officials especially Lino Hill who nearly put some of his boxing skills into practice!!

6 games 6 wins, for me what more can a coach ask for ... well done guy's and lets make it 7 on Saturday.

MAN OF THE MATCH ...... Alphington's Number 1 DAN "DENIS" LAW
