WOLVES 8 V 1 BEACON KNIGHTS - 24th November 2007

"It was a cold frosty morning" too right it was, TC turned up in his woolly hat & Thorpy Snr wore his fluffy mittens!!

Well the game went ahead and the Wolves had to welcome a new keeper after last weeks injury to Denis Law ... (nice to see you Dan, speedy recovery) Thorpy Jnr went back to his good old primary school day's when he guarded the sticks, so that meant a start in defence for biker Cole.
The Wolves went ahead early on through long shanks Darby, who ended up with a bloody nose during the half ... we then played the rest of the half in cold mode and only woke up when the knights had scored.
The second half began with a goal from Clarkie, then stepped up Red Boot Ryan to run the show,it was like watching Ronaldo at Grace Rd!!
There game bought another six more goals ... some of them outstanding finishes.

Couple of players to mention today for outstanding performances, Handy man at center half, Long shanks Darby left midfield and of course his 4 goals, Benno for his never say die effort. Clarkie, forward, great second half hat-trick

Today's goal scorers:
Long Shanks Darby 4, Clarkie 3 & Benno 1

TODAY'S MAN OF THE MATCH .................
RED BOOT RYAN --- AKA RONALDO SAUNDERS

Looking forward to a great test next week for the team ... 2nd round of the cup against ......... Westexe Athletic ..... should be a cracker.
