The Alphas made it into the the next round of the cup after a narrow victory away to Sidmouth in the first round of the cup,It was the Alphas second victory on Sidmouth's own patch this season winning there 3-1 three weeks ago

This game was a bit tighter than their first win with both of Alphington goals coming in the first half with two goals from in form Callum Gent the first one was a great volley from just inside the box after a pinpoint cross from Jamie Fairchild.

Sidmouth got back into the game with a goal at the start of the second half but were unable to snatch an equilizer meaning Alphington progressed into the next round.
