The Alphas lost their first game since November when they were hammered 6-1 away to Lympstone.Alphington started brightly and were unlucky to go a goal down after 8 minutes when the referee awarded a harsh penalty for a foul by Lee Johnson on the edge of the area.

The Alphas got straight back into the game when Jamie Fairchild scored his 3rd goal in two games with a good goal from inside the area,Lympstone regained the lead just before half time with a fine strike from outside the area.

Alphington were well under par in the second half and conceded another four goals without reply.Lympstone deserved their victory and will be favourites when the two sides meet again in the cup in two weeks time..
