Alphington AFC - Under 10s Managed by Russell Cram & Martin Allen

Match reports for theSaturday 15th March 2008

Central 3 -1 Alphington

Alphington started very brightly against Central playing some great passing football, with Jake Moxey and James Probert linking well in attack, but could not find the finish their play deserved before Central scored with a break away to take a half time lead.

The 2nd half was much of the same with Ryan Hackett turning well and shooting before Probert hit the bar from a free kick. The Central keeper pulled off some fine saves before Central scored 2 more goals as Alphington pushed for an equalizer. An own goal gave the Alphas a late consolation.

Countess Wear Dynamoes 1 - 2 Alphington

The 2nd game against Countess Wear was very close with both teams playing good attacking football. The first half was very even with Richard Warwick working hard in midfield, before a Billy Worth cross was headed in by Connor Garmendia to give the Alphas the lead.

They held that lead to just before half time before they conceded a headed equaliser.  The 2nd half was also very tight with both teams having chances. Michael Southard, George Richards and James Ingham were having good games and it looked like it was heading for a draw before Matthew Cram scored a late winner with a dipping shot over the keeper.
