Alphington AFC - Under 10s Managed by Russell Cram & Martin Allen

Match reports for the league game played on Saturday 1st March and the cup quarter final played on Sunday 2nd March.

Alphas 1 - 0 St Martins
Alphington rode their luck in this game and somehow came away with a 1 - 0 victory over St Martins. Alphington started brightly and after a few minutes James Probert ran on to a through ball and confidently beat the St Martins keeper to put the Alphas into the lead. From that moment on St Martins had attack after attack but could not find a way through, with Billy Worth strong in defense and Michael Southard absolutely outstanding in goal. St Martins can count themselves very unclucky.

Alphas 2 - 0 Feniton
Alphington played Feniton Hornets in the quarter final of the under 10's cup. The Alphas started the game very strong with Sam Allen, Connor Garmendia and Matthew Cram all firing wide with shots on goal.

They continued to press forward in the first half and thought they had broke the deadlock when Billy Worth met a James Probert corner but saw his header cannon off the cross bar.

The second half started in the same way but with Feniton defending very well they could not find the breakthrough. Late in the second half Feniton had a spell of pressure before the Alphas forced a corner at the other end. George Richards swung over the corner which was again met by a Billy Worth header, which was initially saved, but the ball was then forced over the line in a scramble. James Probert then made the game safe with a great long range effort to send Alphington through to their first ever semi final.
