Under 12's - Tuesday 26th April Alphington 3 -3 Westexe
The Alphas played their best game for a long time when they drew away 3-3 to their old enemy Westexe Rangers.
The game was played on a very uneven pitch and the grass did not look like it had been cut for weeks typical council pitch this time of the year.
It was Westexe who started the game the better and should of taken the lead in the first ten minutes but their centre forward missed from the penalty spot,
Westexe did get the ball in the back of the net ten minutes later to take a deserved lead.
This seemed to spark the Alphas into action and they drew level just before the break with Ben Stone scoring from just inside the area but there was still time for Westexe to regain the lead with a fine solo goal after a great run.
Alphington started the second half well a drew level for a second time with defender Thomas Cregan scoring a screamer from outside the box,
Ben Stone scored his second of the match shortly after with another great goal after out pacing the Westexe defender.
The Alphas looked like they would hold out for the win but Westexe to their credit scored with the last kick of the game to break the young Alphas hearts.
