Alphington 2 - 0 Exeter Uni 22.08.07 - A great display by the Alphas

A great game to watch for an Alphas fan and a great night for the Alphas bouncing back from Saturdays disatser in such style.

The goal scoring was opened in the 22 minute from a Jason Warren header ( his second in 2 games), not much else happened in the first half, the Alphas contained the game well, defended solidly at the back and broke on the wings at will. Lawrence Khoo doubled the score in the 52nd minute after some more good build up play.

the Uni boys tried tried hard to salvage something from the game, but were unable to break down the Alphas defence, a defence that was well organised and a joy to watch.

the midfield was bolstered with Maddocks winning pretty much every 1st and 2nd ball, but the man of the match for me had to be Jason Warren who at eight six played like a 16 year old who was looking to impress the manager with his off the ball movement, holding play and of course the 2nd of this seasons 20 goals he will obviously claim!

Eds Man of the Match Jason Warren
